THE woman who died in Friday’s horrific road collision at Quigley’s Point will be laid to rest on Wednesday.
Greencastle’s Donna McDermott, aged in her 30s, was the fifth person to die on the county’s roads in just 13 days.
Ms McDermott died when the car in which she was a back-seat passenger, collided with another vehicle on Friday night, September 6.
Ms McDermott’s remains will leave Eamonn McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Carndonagh, F93 E4FN this evening, Monday, September 9 at 5pm going to her home in Ballymacarthur, Greencastle, F93 KX57.
All are welcome to attend the removal, with the home private to family only this evening.
Ms McDermott will be reposing at the family home, where everyone is welcome to pay their respects, tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10 from 11am to 9pm.
Traffic restrictions will be in place, with details of these to follow.
Family home private on Wednesday morning, September 11 with Funeral from there at 10.30am for 11am Funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Ballybrack followed by interment in Ballybrack Graveyard.

Ms McDermott is predeceased by her father Brendan and much loved daughter of Mary.
Heartbroken by her passing are her brothers and sister, Brendan, Brian, Danielle and Richard, Donna’s partner Robert, Donna’s sister in law Margaret and brother in law Will, Nikita and Andrea.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her nieces Anna and Megen and her nephew Charlie, wider family circle, many friends and neighbours.
