Funeral arrangements confirmed for teenager who died in weekend road collision

The funeral arrangements have been confirmed for Tiernan Doherty, Carndonagh who died in the fatal road collision near Buncrana over the weekend.

The collision occurred on the R244 (Mountain Road) at Ballinlough shortly after 5am on Sunday. Mr Doherty was the driver and sole occupant of the car and was fatally injured in the collision.

His death has prompted many tributes, and messages of support and sympathy for the teenager’s family, friends and school pals have been pouring in.

His remains will be removed to his home in Carndonagh this evening.

 

Funeral arrangements:

The tragic death has taken place of Tiernan Doherty, 14 Convent Road, Carndonagh. 

Shocked and saddened by his passing are his loving parents Kevin and Louise. Tiernan will be sadly missed by his younger brothers Kyrin, Cohen, and Keegan. Tiernan is deeply cherished by his broken-hearted girlfriend Kaylah. Tiernan is deeply regretted by his grandparents Sean and Maureen, his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.  

Removal this evening, Monday at 4.30pm from Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Letterkenny, F92XE35 going to his late residence. 

Funeral from there on Thursday at 1pm going to Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh for 1.30pm Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
