Fundraising for families of Bruckless crash victims

A FUNDRAISING campaign for the dependants of Rachel Cassidy Battles and Mairead Mundy, two mothers from Bruckless who died in a road traffic accident in Ardee in July is underway.

Rachel and Mairead died in a crash on the N2 near Ardee, County Louth which also claimed the life of Mairead’s mother Margaret. Rachel left behind four children – two girls and two boys while Mairead is survived by her 13 year old son.

Nearly two months on a Fundraising committee has been established to raise funds for the children. Friends and neighbours of the families are going door to door selling tickets for a raffle for a draw taking place at a fun day in Bruckless Community Centre this Sunday.
