Fundraiser launched to help family of terminally ill Letterkenny businessman

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family of a terminally ill Letterkenny businessman.

Tanveer Zaki, also popularly known as Raja from Payless Groceries in Letterkenny, has always been a kind and familiar face in our community.

Described as being “energetic”, “kind” and “humble” by family and friends, Raja has been battling for his life for the past four months.

In early December Raja Bhai’s younger brother passed from a sudden heart attack.

Grieved by this news, Raja had planned to visit India.

However on December 24 2023, Raja Bhai himself suffered a heart attack.

He was treated in hospitals in Dublin and Galway but now has been shifted back to Letterkenny as the doctors have declared him to be terminally ill.

He has been diagnosed with Cardiogenic shock leading to heart failure.

As the sole earning of his family, now more than ever his wife, two sons and mother need your help.

A GoFundMe page has been set up in a bid to ease their financial burden during this incredibly difficult time.

“Your generosity and kindness would mean the world to them as they navigate through this challenging journey,” a spokesperson said.
