Fundraiser for well-know Letterkenny man who lost home to fire

By Dionne Meehan

A FUNDRAISER has been launched for a well-known Letterkenny man whose home has been left uninhabitable as a result of a fire.

John Wallace, who is best known for giving customers a warm welcome to Cosgroves (formerly Kelly’s Centra) on the Mountain Top, sadly lost his home as a result of a fire on Wednesday night.

Thankfully, John was unharmed in the fire.

With his colleagues now rallying around their much loved friend, a gofundme page has been launched in a bid to rebuild John’s home.

A spokesperson from Cosgroves said: “John has been a great friend to many and has one of the warmest hearts in Donegal.

“We have set up a go fund me page and will be doing some collections in store over the next few days to help him rebuild his life.

“All and any support is much appreciated.”

If you would like to make a donation to help John rebuild his home, you can do so via https://gofund.me/837633a6
