From Castlefinn to Disney

By Dionne Meehan

A PERFORMING arts academy based in Castlefinn will have the privilege of showcasing their talents on an international stage in Disneyland Paris next March.

Receiving the wonderful news, Zara Holmes of Zara Holmes Performing Arts, commended her students for their tremendous efforts throughout the audition process, which required them to record and submit two performances.

“It is an intense process,” she said.

“We waited two or three weeks for feedback, and we got accepted.”

For their audition, the group performed ‘Love is an Open Door’ from Frozen and a number from The Greatest Showman.

“It is the senior group who are travelling this year and we are very excited,” Zara told the Donegal News.

“I am a big Disney fan and a lot of our junior classes are based on Disney, learning songs from the movies etc.

“By being accepted to perform at Disneyland Paris, we are hoping to inspire our younger students.”

Having already experienced the magic of Disney a few years ago for herself, Zara said to bring students there is a dream come true.
