Erin Friel is one of 13 Irish athletes that have been selected by Team Ireland for this year’s European Youth Olympic Festival which takes place in Skopje, North Macedonia from the 20-27 July.
Friel, who represents Letterkenny AC, has made wonderful progress in recent years.
The Loreto Convent student will take part in the 400 metres and Medley Relay race.
Dermot McGranaghan of Finn Valley AC will also travel to North Macedonia as a coach.
