SEAN MacCumhaill’s manager Stephen Friel is hopeful that his team have finally found form, after romping to victory over Buncrana last Saturday.
It has been a frustrating campaign for the Twin Towns side, who find themselves in a battle to avoid the drop to the third tier of the All County League.
Friel’s side travelled to Inishowen last week with just one win from their last six league matches.
However, they finally clicked into gear and recorded a 3-16 to 1-12 victory, which was a welcome boost for all concerned.
“We got a super result last week and it was certainly our best performance in a number of weeks,” said Friel.
“Our form was very, very poor going into the match, and as a manager, it wasn’t a nice place to find your team.
“But I was thrilled with how they played last week. They took on the responsibility and really worked hard.
“If I’m being totally honest, I didn’t see a performance like that coming. I was glad it did come, and hopefully we can build on it now.”
The Twin Towns side face Cloughaneely this Sunday at 3pm in MacCumhaill Park.
