FRIEL, John Patrick

FRIEL, John Patrick – formerly Gortnatra, Fanad and London, peacefully, surrounded by his family at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Deeply regretted by his wife Susan; sons Terence, partner Trish (Burtonport); John, partner Karen (Surrey); daughter Caroline (Stranorlar). Sadly missed by nephews Patrick (Cashel, Fanad), Brendan (Dungloe), nieces Marie (Dublin), Sinead Giles (Letterkenny), Eimear (Cashel, Fanad); sisters-in-law Kathleen Patterson, husband Stephen (Letterkenny); Anne Roff, husband Chris (London); Sally Friel, (Cashel, Fanad); brothers-in-law George Shiels, wife Maria (Letterkenny); John Patrick Shiels (Letterkenny). Fondly remembered by his extended family, neighbours and many friends.

John Patrick’s remains will repose at his late residence (Stranorlar) from 2 pm on Friday, 3rd March. Removal from there at 11.30 am on Sunday, 5th arriving at St. Mary’s Church, Fanavolty, Fanad for 1 pm Requiem Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. Rosary at 9 pm both nights. The Requiem Mass can be viewed live via the St. Mary’s Fanavolty and St. Columba’s Massmount

House private from 10 pm to 11 am.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Medical 2 Patients’ Fund at Letterkenny University Hospital, c/o any family member or Mc Ateer Funeral Directors.
