Fresh appeal over attempted murder of Lifford man

Gardaí investigating the attempted murder of a Lifford man are anxious to speak to anyone with dash cam footage of a silver/grey coloured Peugot car spotted in the area before the attack.

Charles Dooher, 26, was attacked by up to five masked men in his  home who beat him with iron bars and other weapons on Monday, January 20.

He was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast following the incident, where he remains in a critical condition.

His father, Charles senior, aged in his 60s, was brought by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of less-serious injuries.

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

They are particularly anxious to speak to any persons who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) of a silver/grey Peugeot 3008 (2009-2013 model) in the Coneyburrow Road area of Lifford between 10am and 11am on Monday, January 20, to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
