Fresh appeal following fatal Falcarragh collision

Gardaí investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Falcarragh which claimed the life of a woman.

Keyna Barrett, who was aged in her 80s, died following a single vehicle collision on Tuesday, April 23 on the N56 Ballina Road, Falcarragh, at 1.30pm.

She was the sole driver and occupant of the car involved.

Ms Barrett was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for medical treatment but was sadly later pronounced deceased.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. They are a particularly keen to hear from motorists who have dash cam footage.

“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the Falcarragh area between 1.15pm and 1.45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Milford Garda station on (074) 9153060, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
