Four people on board a fishing boat which got into difficulties off the coast of Donegal this morning have been airlifted and brought to safety at Donegal Airport.
A rescue operation involving members of the coast guard got underway early this morning after Malin Head Coast Guard was alerted to the incident at around 6am.
It was reported that a fishing vessel, with four people on board, had got into difficulty near Inish Meain Island off West Donegal.
Malin Head tasked the Sligo-based R118 helicopter as well as Arranmore RNLI and Bunbeg Coast Guard and the crew were airlifted and brought to Donegal Airport at Carrickfinn.
