Four Masters net late to win U16 Division 1 title

Four Masters came from behind to win and take the Under 16 Division 1 title against MacCumhaill’s in Convoy on Sunday.

A drab first half, the victors led by 0-2 to 0-1 at the break but the game came to life in the second half.

MacCumhaill’s raced into a 1-6 to 0-5 lead with 15 minutes to go thanks to a good team move finished off by a Thomas McNulty goal, while Jamie Gavigan and McNulty also hit two points each.

But Four Masters hit back and got a goal in the final ten minutes through Thomas Lenihan and they held on to take the title.
