Four Masters defeat Naomh Conaill in tight Minor Final

FOUR Masters are Division 1 Minor Champions for a third successive season but they were pushed all the way by Naomh Conaill at O’Donnell Park this afternoon.

Naomh Conaill started well and moved 0-4 to 0-1 ahead after 15 minutes.

However, Four Masters then found their stride and goals from Callum McCrea and Tiarnan McBride had them 2-3 to 0-6 ahead at the break.

Naomh Conaill made a strong start to the second half with Danny Brown scoring a brace before Daniel Breslin drilled a goal chance over the bar.

Conor McCahill was to the fore for Four Masters and they pushed four ahead but Naomh Conaill came back for more with Stephen McDevitt scoring a free before Danny Brown scored a terrific goal.

The game was in the melting pot in the closing minutes but then Tiarnan McBride won and converted a mark before Turlough Carr kicked the insurance score at the death.
