“Youth projects and organisations such as Foroige, Travteen, Letterkenny YIC and the Youth Outreach Project play a crucial role in supporting young people throughout the country. It is hugely important that the Government continues to acknowledge their work and provide funding so that they can maintain and in some cases expand their services,” said Deputy McHugh.

Welcoming the news, local Fine Gael councillor, Jimmy Kavanagh stated: “This capital grant will really boost the services of these groups and so will be of great benefit to young people here in Letterkenny and indeed across Donegal.
