Four Donegal men have been selected in the Danske Bank Ulster Schools All-Star team for 2025.
Abbey Vocational School duo Turlough Carr and Conor McCahill, as well as South West Donegal’s Pádraig Mac Giolla Bhríde and Cathal Ó Gallchóir have made the team for an impressive year for Donegal schools at the top level.
Four Masters clubman Turlough Carr captained his Abbey Vocational School side to the MacRory Cup final where they were narrowly beaten 0-12 to 2-5 by St Pat’s, Maghera in the final in Celtic Park in Feburary.
His club mate McCahill scored 2-2 in that final and was a constant threat throughout the competition for Stuart McFadden’s men.
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair and Gaoth Dobhair GAA pair Pádraig Mac Giolla Bhríde and Cathal Ó Gallchóir were part of the South West Donegal amalgamation side that reached the semi-final of the MacRory Cup before being defeated by the Abbey.
All four have started for the Donegal U20s this year as they topped their group with four wins over Fermanagh, Antrim, Down and Tyrone and have a home semi-final on Wednesday, April 23.
