Four Donegal players have been named in the GAA.ie Team of the Week for their performances against Derry.
Shaun Patton, Brendan McCole and Ryan McHugh all made the cut while Daire Ó Baoill is also in the team and is nominated for Player of the Week for his two goals as he finished on 2-1.
St Eunan’s man Patton had to go off injured on 56 minutes but he was superb up to that point. His kick-outs were a huge platform for Donegal while he dealt brilliantly with the dropping balls that came his way.
Brendan McCole came back into the Donegal line-up after being out for two months and the St Naul’s man marshalled Shane McGuigan superbly as he only got two points late on when Donegal were content as long as they didn’t concede a goal.
Kilcar’s Ryan McHugh had a brilliant game, particularly in the first half and was man-marked in the second half by Conor McCluskey but he was still heavily involved.
