MOTORISTS are being urged to drive with caution today as some of the county’s main and secondary roads remain extremely dangerous due to black ice and freezing conditions.
Four vehicles left the road in the Bullock Park area of Drumkeen on the main Letterkenny to Ballybofey road a short time ago.
The incident occurred close to the service station at Drumkeen with the cars travelling towards the Twin Towns.
There are reports of dangerous conditions in and around Letterkenny, in the Twin Towns and in Glenties.
Drivers however, should assume that all routes are dangerous and to journey with care, especially in places which are shaded from the sun.
Met Eireann is forecasting more low temperatures in Donegal tonight. It will be dry with long clear spells. However, it will be cold, with lowest temperatures of -1 to +2 degrees.
