THE former Eircom site in Letterkenny was re-advertised for sale in an online error this week.
The major 5.8 acre site at Kiltoy, opposite the Church of Martyrs, reappeared on DAFT.ie on Tuesday morning described as a ‘prime development site suitable for a variety of uses.’
The asking price was listed as €2m.
The reappearance of the site online is bound to have peaked the interest of property developers in the county, however, it is has now been confirmed that the site has been taken off the market and was re-advertised by mistake.
A spokesperson for Glen Estates said, “This property was on sale six months ago and has since been removed from the market.
“We have contacted DAFT as they re-advertised it this morning.
“They have since removed it as it was an error on their feed.”
The site previously provided employment to hundreds of people but in 2013, Eircom confirmed that the site would close down as it was no longer needed to run the service.
At the time they said all services will be run from the telephone exchange behind the post office on Letterkenny Main Street.
