THE former County Manager said this week that he had ‘no choice’ in taking part in a government pension scheme which resulted in him getting a lump-sum payment of €220,000 when he retired last year.
Mr Michael McLoone (66) was responding to questions from the Donegal News after we obtained details of his retirement package which includes an annual pension of €73,422.50 (€2,814.20 per fortnight).
