Derry City 1-2 Finn Harps
Finn Harps collected their first ever league win at the Brandywell tonight as Adam Foley supplied a famous late winner to see off Derry City.
Harps started well and Barry McNamee and Tunde Owolabi both squandered good chances to score.
Derry hit the lead against the run of play in the 17th minute when James Akintunde took advantage of slack defending to open the scoring.
Harps were the better team in the first half and Will Seymore was unlucky with a shot from 40 yards which crashed off the crossbar and went over.

Will Patching hit the bar for Derry shortly after the restart, but Harps got back on level terms in the 54th minute when Karl O’Sullivan’s low shot was deflected into the net.
Jack Malone came close to scoring in the 85th minute for Derry but his poked effort hit the post, and Akintunde hammered the rebound over the bar.
That was a let off for Harps and they then took the lead themselves in the 88th minute when McNamee set up Adam Foley, who fired a low shot to the net.
Eoin Toal almost grabbed a last-gasp equaliser but he hit the post, and Ollie Horgan’s team held on to collect all three points.
