Flood warning prompts temporary closure of Donegal Town carpark

The Donegal Town Pier Carpark will be temporarily closed at various times over the next 24 hours due to an anticipated combination of high tides, storm surges, and heavy rainfall.

These weather conditions pose a significant flood risk, prompting local authorities to take precautionary measures.

The carpark will first close this evening from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to mitigate potential flooding. Further closures are scheduled for tomorrow, with the carpark being inaccessible from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and again from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
