Flight from hell – Letterkenny man describes ordeal

A YOUNG Letterkenny man has described the terrifying and chaotic scenes aboard his Qatar Airways flight that temporary plunged from 35,000 feet last weekend, injuring six passengers and six crew.

IT specialist Aidan Hanley and his girlfriend Sarah, were flying from Doha to Dublin when their plane hit an air pocket and fell hundreds of feet in seconds.

“You would think the whole plane was going to crash into the ground, not knowing when it would level out again. It was over very quickly but felt a lot longer at the time because it was so unexpected,” Aidan told the Donegal News.
