Five talking points from the Ulster Final triumph

3. McCole puts out the fires

Brendan McCole’s ability to nullify opposition players was huge in Sunday’s victory.

McCole picked up Andew Murnin early on, and while the Armagh full-forward scored a point in the 20th minute, he only really came into it when the St Naul’s man switched across to Conor Turbitt with ten minutes left in the first half.

Turbitt was on a roll at that stage, but McCole managed to negate his influence and put him on the periphery of the match.

Stefan Campbell then stepped it up for Armagh and kicked two points with his powerful runs causing all sorts of problems.

McGuinness took action and sent McCole across to put that fire out as well.
