Name: Kyran Glennon
Age: 21
Occupation: Masters Student
Team: Dunlewey Celtic
If you were throwing a party and you could invite anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you ask around? It would have to be James Hype to play a few bangers – hands down the most talented DJ I have ever seen.
Where do you like to go out to celebrate after a big victory? I am not a drinking man! But McGeady’s Bar would be the spot to go.
What’s the worst pitch you’ve ever played on? Drumbar – the legs would be dead after twenty minutes! You’d swear it was stuck in the mud you were playing and not a game of football at times.
Which character in any film are you most like? Simon from the Inbetweeners.
Any odd items in your kit bag? Nothing odd as such, I’d just pack three pairs of everything and a few chocolate bars to keep me going!
Who’s the biggest joker in the team you play for? It has to be Mark Roarty – great man for getting the boys going before a game or giving the rest of us a bit of entertainment when he is slagging Brendan McGeady.
Which team mate has the best looking other half? I better not say too much here, but I heard the boys saying Lorcan Gallagher’s mystery woman must be up there! He used to miss matches to take her to concerts and nights away in Dublin.
Who is the worst/best trainer? It’s hard to pick a best trainer because I’m never there myself! I’d be at home watching Tipping Point with the dinner in front of me.
Who spends most time in front of the mirror in the dressing room? Mannie Cannon or Paddy McGeady always fixing the hair of what they have left of it!
Who’s the best/worst person to sit beside on the team bus? We usually take cars to games but I love listening to some of Hugo Cannon’s stories. Worst would probably be Paddy McGeady telling you about something he done the night before.
Who has the best and who has the worst diet on the team, and what does it include? I’d say Shaun McGarvey is well disciplined when it comes to diet. I love a good takeaway so I’d say I have the worst diet.
Toughest opponent you have faced? I’ve played against a good few, it would be hard to pick one.
Best or worst quote you’ve heard, either from a manager, player, opponent? “Let’s go out and play sexy sexy football.”
Best manager you’ve ever played under? It has to be Garry Glennon. I progressed and achieved a lot under the oul boy.
Best ever performance? I’ve had a few decent performances to be fair to me, but scoring a hat-trick against Cliftonville will be the one that always stands out.
One to forget? Missing one of the penalties in the U14 Cup Final, it broke my heart and still does to this day! Or losing the Ulster Final 1-0 with PCC against St Eunan’s.
Sporting ambition? I’ve went backwards over the years so I’ll be happy if I can still kick a ball.
When you were playing in the back garden, who did you pretend to be? I used to run around with my tongue and arms out thinking I was Henrik Larsson.
If you were in charge of transfers, who’d be in and who’d be out of the team? I wouldn’t get rid of anyone but I’d bring in Leigh Griffiths to play up top with myself, he doesn’t seem happy sitting on the bench at Celtic.
