Name: Killian McBride
Occupation: Construction
Team: Milford United
If you were throwing a party and you could invite anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you ask around? Roy Keane – it would be a good night’s craic.
Where do you like to go out to celebrate after a big victory? We all go to the Hideaway which is a good spot and Eugene always has the soup ready.
What’s the worst pitch you’ve ever played on? I played on Drumbar’s pitch for the youth team this year it was the worst by a mile.
Which character in any film are you most like? Deadpool – best movie about.
Any odd items in your kit bag? Have two different shin-guards always seem to lose one of them.
Who’s the biggest joker in the team you play for? Conor McHugh. He’s always doing or saying something that he shouldn’t.
Which teammate has the best looking other half? Can’t really answer that question but I must say Gary Merritt is definitely punching.
Who is the worst/best trainer? Corey-Lee McConigley is the best trainer. He is full of energy and there’s no real bad trainers with are team.
Who spends most time in front of the mirror in the dressing room? Suarez (Emmitt Eastwood) always has his hair slicked back.
Who’s the best/worst person to sit beside on the team bus? Paul Ryan is the best to sit beside because we have been friends since the start of school and ‘Spike’ (Mark Flood) is the worst because he always has to get his sausage rolls before the game and you’d be starving if you were sitting beside him.
Who has the best and who has the worst diet on the team, and what does it include? Most of us eat well but Joey Cullen definitely has the worst. That man couldn’t go a day without a Max’s.
Toughest opponent you have faced? ‘Gorby’ (Kieran Gorman) who plays for Rathmullan, he’s impossible to get around.
Best or worst quote you’ve heard, either from a manager, player, opponent? The best advice I ever got was from my under 14s manager to get fit and I would enjoy my football much more which is great advice because once I did get fit it was much more enjoyable.
Best manager you’ve ever played under? Noel Gillespie, he has been stuck with me the whole way through from Under 12s.
Best ever performance? Probably the play off final vs Gweedore United that we won in extra time
One to forget? The Youth final last year was one to forget. I didn’t play well personally and we lost 2-0.
Sporting ambition? To help bring Milford back to winning ways in the top division.
When you were playing in the back garden, who did you pretend to be? Always liked Ashley Young when I was younger not quite sure why but I always did.
If you were in charge of transfers, who’d be in and who’d be out of the team? I wouldn’t like to see anyone leaving this team because I’d be confident in every player in the team to do a job on the pitch. The player I would like to sign would be Kyle Black. A very good player and a true Milford man at heart.
