Team: Milford Ladies

If you were throwing a party and you could invite anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you ask around?
I’d fly Amber Barrett home (she’s good on the karaoke machine), although she would probably be going round asking everyone if they want her autograph. Gerry Cinnamon for the tunes.

Where do you like to go out to celebrate after a big victory?
The Travellers for a few, and usually end up at the Grill back in the day!

What’s the worst pitch you’ve ever played on?
Drumboe/Gweedore’s old pitch

Which character in any film are you most like?
Phoebe from friends

Any odd items in your kit bag?
Wee bit of poitín, apparently it’s good for injuries!

Who’s the biggest joker in the team you play for?
Roisin Doc is good at giving the abuse, but not as good taking it!

Which team mate has the best looking other half?
Well considering most of the team are under 20, it mightn’t be appropriate to answer that one!

Who is the worst/best trainer?
Best – Bronagh Durning, always gives 100%. Worst – the two Doc sisters, always landing after the warm-up, and then they have to leave early.

Who spends most time in front of the mirror in the dressing room?
Niamh Carr or Katie McAteer.

Who’s the best/worst person to sit beside on the team bus?
Worst would be Roisin Doc, she’s always yapping away and you would need Google translate to understand her half the time! Best – Cathy Carr is usually good for a story, although half of it would probably be made up.

Who has the best and who has the worst diet on the team, and what does it include?
Best probably Megan Ryan or Niamh Carr, those two probably live on avocados and kale smoothies. Not sure who the worst would be, plenty of them would be fond of the sweets.

Toughest opponent you have faced?
Ciara Hegarty, ended up running after her the whole game instead of the other way around!

Best or worst quote you’ve heard, either from a manager, player, opponent?
Our team talks usually consist of several outbursts of swearing rather than inspirational quotes!

Best manager you’ve ever played under?
The two Barrett brothers (Marty and SP), endless constructive criticism! Kenny Griffin was also a great influence.

Best ever performance?
Against Naomh Muire last year – it was eventful to say the least!

One to forget? County semi-final against Buncrana a couple of years ago.

Sporting ambition?
I would love to win a Senior County title, although age isn’t on my side for that one!

When you were playing in the back garden, who did you pretend to be?
I always thought Cork’s Valerie Mulcahy was such a classy forward in her day.

If you were in charge of transfers, who’d be in and who’d be out of the team?
I couldn’t get rid of anyone, but I wouldn’t say no to the likes of Aimee Mackin transferring in.
