FIVE games from this weekend’s Donegal All-County Football League schedule have been put back a week after the Donegal Competitions Controls Committee considered a request from clubs who have players involved in the Donegal Under-21 squad.
Following last night’s 0-15 to 0-10 win over Armagh, Maxi Curran’s Under-21s face Cavan in the Ulster final on Wednesday night.
With the Donegal senior team in action against Armagh on Sunday, a round of ‘starred’ fixtures had been pencilled in for this Saturday evening.
The Division 1 games, Ardara v Malin, Naomh Conaill v St Michael’s and Four Masters v Kilcar, the Division 2 meeting of Sean MacCumhaills and Fanad Gaels as well as the Division 3 fixture between Naomh Colmcille and Red Hughs have been postponed this weekend and have been re-fixed for Sunday, April 13 at 3pm.
The corresponding reserve fixtures will go ahead as planned this Saturday.
“Following the success of the u21 team on reaching the Ulster Final last evening and the request from management to CCC to consider league fixtures this weekend due to the Final being on next Wed and u21 players not being available to their clubs,” a statement from the Donegal County Board read.

Having considered the requests from clubs the following senior games have been cancelled and they are refixed for Sun 13th at 3.00pm Reserve Games go ahead on Sat as usual.
