Cloughaneely 1-14 Milford 1-13

John Fitzgerald made a welcome return to Cloughaneely colours on Saturday after a long spell on the sidelines and helped his team to a narrow win over Milford.

Fitzgerald picked up an serious knee injury last season and his team missed him at the business end of the season. He scored two points on Saturday.

Donnacadh Ó Baoighill and Cathal McGettigan swapped goals in a lively encounter and it looked like it might end in a draw when Kane Barrett scored his fourth point in second half injury-time.

However, Cloughaneely got one more attack and Micheál McHugh struck the winner.
