First night in ‘improved’ home for Daniel and Majella

Daniel O’Donnell and his wife, Majella, will tonight spend the first night in their beautiful new home following a makeover by Dermot Bannon, from RTE’s Room to Improve programme.

The pair took part in the programme after Majella bumped into the 44-year-old architect at an exhibition and asked for his advice.

Having asked him to come up to Donegal – not meaning for the show – but just to give advice, Dermot asked the couple if they would like to feature on the programme.

Speaking in an interview before Christmas, Daniel said Dermot “was doing a great job”.

He said: “He came in, and the three things we wanted done were done, but he tore the house apart!

“He said we had a very ordinary house – and us thinking we were living like royalty,” Daniel joked.

Room to Improve is back on our screens on Thursday on RTE.
