Fire service tackle blaze on farmland

THE Fire Service was called to the scene of a fire in Lifford this afternoon which broke out in a hay shed on farmland.

A Spokesperson for the Gardai said: “It would appear that a fire broke out in a hay shed on farmland at Drumbuoy, Lifford. The alarm was raised at approximately 1pm. Fire Units attended at the scene, there were no reports of any injuries. The fire is not currently being treated as suspicious.”
