Fire crews praised for quick response to Moville fire

A DONEGAL councillor has praised emergency services for their quick response after a fire broke out at the old Gullaghduff Mill in Moville.

Thankfully there were no injuries as a result of the blaze which broke out late on Friday afternoon.

Local councillor Martin Farren said it took almost seven hours for fire crews to extinguish the blaze, but their actions ensured the fire didn’t spread to adjacent businesses.

Amid concerns over the fact that the roof of the damaged building contains asbestos, the site has been cordoned off.
