Finn Harps continued their great start to the season with a win and clean sheet over Athlone Town in Finn Park.
Darren Murphy’s men took the lead after a quarter of an hour when Success Edogun crossed to Stephen Doherty who tapped in at the back post.
And just before the break it was 2-0 as Tony McNamee’s dinked free kick to Jamie Watson was flicked into the path of Edogun who blasted home.
Athlone Town made changes and were on top in the second half, with Aaron Connolly’s header hitting the crossbar their best chance, but the Harps defended well for a deserved win.
