Finn Harps’ Corey Sheridan, Josh Cullen and Gavin McAteer have all been named in the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad for the upcoming international window.
Colin O’Brien’s side will travel to Czechia this week for three fixtures against Switzerland, Turkey and the host country themselves.
Donegal Town’s Cullen and Milford man McAteer have earned themselves recalls to the national team setup having previously impressed for O’Brien’s outfit.
Sheridan has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad for the first time. The Ballyshannon native has previously represented Northern Ireland at underage level but has linked up with O’Brien’s men for the upcoming fixtures.
This call-up means that the trio will miss Finn Harps’ trip to Bishopsgate this Friday night for their clash with Longford Town in the League of Ireland First Division.
They’ll all be hoping to make strong impressions as the national side prepare for the Under-17 FIFA World Cup in Qatar this November.
