Cobh Ramblers 5 Finn Harps 1
Finn Harps were well beaten in St Colman’s Park as the home side ran riot in the second half against ten men.
Finn Harps took the lead in the first quarter of an hour when Sean O’Donnell ran down the right and getting to the by-line, he cut back for Patrick Ferry to poke home.
It looked like the away side would go in ahead at the break but Mikie Rowe got in behind Max Hutchison from a Jack Doherty pass and he curled past Antonio Tuta.
HALF TIME: 1-1
The Harps looked hard done by as Cobh received a penalty when Doherty’s shot hit Matthew Makinson’s shoulder but the referee pointed to the spot and Doherty found the bottom right corner.
Sean O’Donnell then received a straight red for a push on Cian Browne and Mathew McKevitt made it 3-1 as he powered into the box and struck for the far corner.
Cobh then hit two goals in three minutes after a good move saw a 1-2 between Rowe and Doherty and the former found the corner again from outside the box while Browne cut a cross from the left back to Doherty who fired home their fifth.
