Derry City 2 Finn Harps 0
Finn Harps were beaten by Derry City in their second pre-season friendly at the Brandywell.
The Harps, who drew with their rivals in Finn Park a fortnight ago, went 1-0 down after 25 minutes as their opponents took a short corner and Michael Duffy’s cross was met by the head of Mark Connolly who found the bottom corner.
The Candystripes doubled their lead with 75 minutes gone as Ronan Boyce cut back for Sean Patton and the Drumkeen man laid the ball off to Ben Doherty who struck into the roof of the net.
Finn Harps’ next friendly is at home to Sligo Rovers on February 10.
