Finn Harps 1 UCD 1
Tony McNamee’s free was cancelled out by Ciaran Behan’s goal as Finn Harps were held to a draw with 10-man UCD in Finn Park.
The Harps took the lead thanks to a super free-kick from Tony McNamee, his third goal in as many games as he rifled the ball into the top corner on 12 minutes.
It was the hosts who were on top for the rest of the half, with a Behan free that went over the only danger at the home goal as it was 1-0 at the break.
More dominance from the home side followed while Michael McCullagh was shown a straight red for a late challenge on Ryan Rainey, but the away side equalised through a quick counter as Colin Bolton crossed for Behan who slotted in with a quarter of an hour remaining.
Willie O’Connor’s men were camped in their own box for the final 15 minutes but the Students held on for a draw with ‘keeper Kian Moore making two superb stops from Sean O’Donnell and Conor Tourish.
