Finn Harps confirm triple departure from club

Finn Harps have confirmed the departure of Michael Harris, Cian Lynch and Oisin Farrell.

Harris, a Convoy native, leaves the club having played 19 games so far this season, starting 17 times.

After spending 2022 at Colorado Rapids 2 in America, Harris joined Finn Harps on a two-year-deal in January.

Despite playing in all but two league games this season, the 20-year-old forward departs the club without scoring a goal.

Cian Lynch also departs the club after injury struggles.

Lynch was also signed on a two-year-deal and played in the first five games of the season, starting twice including in the Donegal sides first win of the season over Longford Town, but that would be his final game for the club after injury problems.

Goalkeeper Oisin Farrell has also left the club having come through the Academy and being promoted to the senior squad in 2023.

However, Tim Hiemer has been ever present in the starting lineup this year, with 16-year-old Oisin Cooney looking like the backup to the German ‘keeper.

A statement from the club read: “Finn Harps can confirm the departures of Michael Harris, Cian Lynch and Oisin Farrell from the club by mutual consent.

“The club would like to thank them for their professionalism and commitment to the club over the past six months and wish them every success in the future.”
