Finn Harps registered their first points of the 2026 League of Ireland First Division season courtesy of a 2-1 win over UCD at Finn Park on Friday night.
Kevin McHugh’s men controlled the opening period of the contest and hit the front after 10 minutes of play as Shaunie Bradley displayed great composure before slotting the ball past Dara Kavanagh.
This would give the hosts the lead at the short whistle and they doubled their advantage 15 minutes after the restart.
Conor Tourish played a one-two with Bradley inside the UCD box before volleying the ball brilliantly into the back of the net via the crossbar.
The Students pulled a goal back in the last ten minutes through Conor Behan to leave us with a grandstand finish.
However, Kevin McHugh’s men defended well to keep UCD at bay and seal the three league points on home soil.
