Fined for driving with no insurance twice

A Dunfanaghy motorist was fined a total of €900 after being apprehended driving without insurance on two occasions.

Olexsander Lozovyy, with an address at The Forge, Main Street, was stopped by Gardai at Illistrin on December 27, 2024, and was discovered to have no insurance on his Ford Focus car and subsequently failed to produce it.

He was further stopped by Gardai on the N56 on April 12, 2025, and again found to have no insurance, Falcarragh District Court heard.

Judge Emile Daly imposed subsequent fines of €400 and €500 on the charges.
