Fifth annual BeatlesFest in Moville

Organiser Gerry McLaughlin said: “Originally, as we intended to have it both in the pubs and in the street we were going to call it ‘Here, There and Everywhere’ especially as it is our top guest, Beatles road manager Tony Bramwell’s favourite Beatles song. However I think the one we did pick is even more appropriate.”

The 5th BeatlesFest on the Lough will take place all weekend long in six of the town’s pubs and the music will take place not only at night but in some of the pubs in the town during the day.

Gerry said: “We have a very strong line-up this year and are negotiating with two Beatles Tribute bands from the UK to come over as well as a Paul McCartney tribute act. fullest programme yet “There will not only be tribute bands but also a play about the Beatles, talks on the Beatles and book signings.

“It is the fullest programme of events for any BeatlesFest on the Lough and I think Beatles fans will be delighted with the acts when we reveal them shortly.

“With it also being a bank holiday weekend we are expecting big crowds. With the bands booked and Moville’s beautiful location on the salmon fishing Lough Foyle.”
