FÉILE Róise Rua is set to take place from Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21 on Árainn Mhór Island.
Féile Róise Rua was set up in 2018 as a voluntary community based festival to revive the local music and song tradition on the island, in particular the music of local singer and song collector Róise Rua, Róise na nÁmhrán.
The festival is run as a social enterprise with all profits from the event going into community projects on Árainn Mhór.
This year’s festival will include exclusive performances from some of the finest Irish and folk artists including Síle Denvir, Ciarán Ó Gealbháin, Zoé Basha, Tara Conaghan, Seán Gavin, Edwina Guckian, Peter Crann, and film showings and talks from acclaimed director Pat Collins and from Richie Piggott.
