Fans urged to plan ahead for Donegal v Derry game at O’Donnell Park

GARDAÍ have issued advice ahead of the Dr McKenna Cup clash between Donegal and Derry at O’Donnell Park tomorrow, urging match-goers to plan their travel and parking carefully.

Ahead of the 1.30pm throw-in, gardaí advise attendees to arrive early, use town parking in Letterkenny, and walk to the grounds.

Alternatively, a free shuttle bus will operate from Kernan’s Spar before the game.

Gardaí remind fans that parking at O’Donnell Park is restricted to pass holders only, that there is limited disabled parking nearby and that there is no parking in surrounding residential areas.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to all those who plan on attending to only park where it is legal and safe to do so.

“Do not park on footpaths at Ballymacool estate, on footpaths along the main road or park in any manner that might block access for emergency services, pedestrians or wheelchair users.

“Please follow directions given by gardaí and stewards in the area.

“We hope that everyone has an enjoyable day and we wish both teams the best of luck.”
