Fanad United have been drawn away from home in the first round of the 2025 FAI Cup.
The Tri-A-Loch men will travel to face Dublin club Leicester Celtic, who are based in Rathfarnham, with the tie taking place on the weekend of May 18.
Arthur Lynch’s side were rewarded with entry in the cup due to their progress in reaching the quarter-finals of the FAI Junior Cup, before being defeated in heart-breaking fashion to Limerick side Fairview Rangers via a 96th minute winner.
Leicester Celtic ply their trade in the Leinster Senior League Senior 1B Sunday Division, where they currently sit in eighth place in the fourth tier of the LSL.
The draw for the first round took place today, with Fanad being only one of two Donegal teams in the FAI Cup along with Finn Harps, who will enter the competition in the second round.
