FANAD United showed why they are the reigning champions as they moved back to the top of the Premier Division with a win over St Catherine’s in Traigh-A-Loch.

A deflected goal in the first half from Darren McElwaine gave the home side the lead just before the break.

Arthur Lynch’s side came out even stronger in the second half and Eddie O’Reilly got on the end of a free-kick into the box to double their lead on the hour mark.

The win puts Fanad one point ahead of St Catherine’s with two games in hand.
