Fanad United 3-0 Harding
Fanad United are safely through to the last 16 of the FAI Junior Cup after they eased to a comfortable win over Dublin side Harding in Traigh-a-Loch today.
Fanad were much the better team in the first half and they led 1-0 at the break with Paddy Carr scoring a fine goal in the 27th minute.
The home side missed a host of chances in the second half but another goal did arrived in the 78th minute when Eoin Logue converted a penalty after Darren McElwaine was fouled.
A third goal then arrived in the 83rd minute when Martin McElhinney tapped home from close range.
Fanad are the only Donegal club through to the last 16 after defending FAI Junior Cup champions Cockhill Celtic lost away to Avenue United.
