Bernie Alcorn is pictured presenting Paddy Rooney, Chairperson of the Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital, with a donation of €580.
The money was donated in lieu of flowers at the funeral of her late brother, Pat McLoone, McMahon Villas, Letterkenny, who passed away last month.
The family’s kind donation is a fitting tribute to Pat who will be remembered by many for his time spent working in the administration department of the HSE.

At his funeral Mass in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Mr McLoone was remembered for taking tremendous pride in helping others.
Throughout his life, he found happiness in the people around him.
This included his parents, Peter and Sally, who cared for him throughout the many years he lived at home; his friends, with whom he shared regular meals at The Silver Tassie; and his bridge companions, despite the often heated competition.
