An Imirce i gCloich Cheannfhaola inné is inniu was the title of the winning radio programme, which examined the phenomenon of emigration in the area from the time of the famine to present day.

Judge Seán Ó hÉanaigh, Programmes Editor at RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, said: “The winning team had done a lot of research work, and presented it in a very understandable manner, and they also went out in the community and spoke to people about the subject, and I feel those interviews added greatly to the programme.
“Of course, emigration is very topical at the moment as well, and all in all I think that the team put together an excellent programme.”
A special programme with the winners, presented by Seán Bán Breathnach, will be broadcast at 2pm on Friday, May 10 on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.
