GAOTH Dobhair are celebrating tonight after they became the first Donegal club to win the Ulster Senior Club title since 1975.
The Maghergallon men edged out Scotstown in an enthralling game after extra-time in Omagh and team manager Mervyn O’Donnell was thrilled with the victory.
“We’re absolutely delighted,” said O’Donnell.
“I keep saying it but when I took on the job on a cold January night last year, you were just thinking wouldn’t it be lovely if we could win a championship.
“We never thought we would ever get anywhere near this. It really is fairytale stuff.”
