Extra-time heartache for Donegal ladies in Ulster final

Donegal 1-13 Armagh 0-17

Donegal ladies suffered extra-time heartache for the second time in three years in the Ulster final as Armagh won late on in Clones.

Donegal were four points down coming into the final two minutes but a long ball in came down to Katy Herron and she fired the ball into the corner of the net to give them a chance before Susanne White kicked a free at the death.

It came down to extra-time and White kicked another two frees to bring her tally to 0-8 for the day as the third period saw the sides still level.

Eva Gallagher put Donegal a point up with a few minutes remaining before Lauren McConville levelled.

And when White missed a free, Armagh hit back with a Niamh Reel free to put them ahead and see out the win.
